ECM Push Tamper

Overview

ECM’s Push Tamper is a height adjustable push tamper that prevents uneven and overtamping. Similar to their coffee distribution tool, the tamper is made up of three pieces, a textured aluminum handle with the ECM Logo, a brushed adjustment ring, and a 58.4mm stainless steel base. The push tamper allows you to set your tamping depth, which in turn guarantees consistent tamps.

The base is unlocked by twisting the handle counterclockwise while holding the adjustment ring. Tamping depth is guaranteed by the ridge that surrounds the base. The ridge rests on top of the edges of the portafilter basket which means that once your depth is set correctly, even if you apply excess pressure while tamping that the coffee itself is no longer being compressed.

When used in conjunction with a distribution tool, ECM’s Push tamper is an easy way to pull perfect shots with your ECM espresso machine.
